Many cultures around the world have myths and legends based on the idea that the Earth is hollow. From the ancient Greeks believing in the Underworld and some cultures even believing that hell itself really is a fiery place beneath the Earth’s surface.

interesting information.... I really like reading mysteries of the world and this one seem to be quite interesting... I would apprecriate if you keep on updating this information and also add some real opinions of those believe in hollow earth...

In our Hindu culture there is description of PATAL LOK meaning the land below the earth. There are plenty of stories relating to it.

I do find this very interesting. I absolutely believe that there is life beneath our surface. It is not so far fetched if you really think about the possibilities. We've heard about it in stories, seen it in movies... When a worlds natural disaster is going occur, you hear of the government sending the best of the best and the families of down below to live until the earth regenerates to livable standards. Supposedly Area 51 is burried hundreds of stories below earths surface. I believe it it possible and I do believe it may have already occured or is occuring. However, I do not believe in the monsters and demons discussed. Earth's pit is nothing more then a fire pit, lava, liquid hot magma. Dig too deep and get burned.

Wow, awesome! I'm a story writer and I'd never heard of the idea of a hollow earth. This is a great site and it's inspired my imagination! The kewlest part is that the stories could possibly be true...
