I read the book by Douglas Hensley. At least one of Pearl's killers swore to punish any pregnant woman who enters since he was hanged for killing Pearl, who was pregnant. He swore his innocence the entire time. Maybe he was and the other killer acted alone.

Another ghost is waiting for her lover who was murdered by her mobster father.
