This is true. This is what happened to me. About 6 months ago I was sleeping and when I turned around in bed to get more comfortable I must have opened my eyes because I seen a black cloaked figure and I was sooooooo afraid I jumped and turned on my light. My heart was beating... racing. The next night the same thing happened. Then I started sleeping with my light on. I told my sister about it and she called the next day to tell me she also seen it in her bedroom. She seen it only one night though. This has never happened to either one of us ever !!! We are not the type of people to make things up... My sister does not lie so it really scared me when she said she also seen it. I actually thought I was going to die. Well... that was 6 months ago and now something really different is happening. I keep waking up in my sleep gasping for air and freaked out with a sense that there is a presense in my room. This is happening almost every night. I don't see anything, but I sense someone or something in my room. I haven't been feeling well lately so I am really worried and scared.
It was about 7 ft. tall and I could not see a face, just dark where the face should have been. I did not see hands, arms, feet or legs. It was there for about 3 or 4 seconds and then disappeared.

If there is anyone out there that has experienced such a thing, please let me know.

This is very weird about last year i experienced something similar I was sleeping and i woke up for no aparent reason i look over to my window with the shade down and the light from the outside streetlight flooded in giving my room kind of a twilight effect and when i looked at my window i see a cloaked figure just standing there i blinked a few times to make sure i wasn't seeing things but it was still there right after i blinked it's cloaked arms extended outwards like a cross shape when that happened i was paralyzed and could not move at all after a few seconds of that it dissapeared, i hsve seen it two more times after that the next time i saw it i was in bed awake froze up and it was hovering over my bed and soon dissapeared the last time i hqave seen it was two nights ago i was sleeping in my livingroom and i was awake on the couch laying down and i felt like something was watching me so i rotated to see what was there all of a sudden i found myself paralyzed and it very quickly floated past my face and it was only inches away from me and dissapeared right sfter that if anyone has any answeres for me or similar experiences please let me know my myspace url is zabuza1momochi

I had a similar experience several years ago shortly after my husbands death. I awoke to a hooded figure standing over me in my bed. I could not move and was very frightened. It only occured that once but I felt it was the angel of death. I had been drinking alot during that time due to my depression of missing my husband and this was a wake up call. I feel God used it to change me.

I've never seen a dark cloaked figure in my room before, but I HAVE to sleep with my radio on everynight, I keep the radio or some music on about 24/7. If I don't, I get very paranoid, I'm not sure if it's just me or if something's really there. If my radio is off, this'll happen each night if my radio isn't on, I feel like someone's in my room and like they're right by my face and breathing on me, it feels like it, then it gets super cold in my room, I start hearing things and getting very paranoid. On Saturday June 11, 1994 around 2 o'clock in the afternoon I took a nap with my then fiancé. I lived in Southern California and my house was newly built. My bedroom was large and had many windows. The bedroom was very bright because I had just bought the house and I had not yet installed window coverings.

I took my nap and woke up to find a small about 3-4 foot hooded black figure sitting on my fiancé and looking down at me. I could not see it's face or hands. I freaked out and jumped out of the bed all the while screaming. My fiancé awoke to my screams and he also jumped out of the bed. He said he saw something black on top of him. We both saw this black figure in the middle of a sunny summer day in Southern California in a very bright room. There was no way to confuse shadows here. There were no shadows. The being was there and it was black. Once my fiancé jumped off the bed, the being evaporated before our eyes.

The following Monday June 13th, 1994 I had surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. I began feeling ill later that day and subsequently had two emergency surgeries and a blood transfusion the following two days as I was bleeding internally. I almost died in that hospital just a few short days after being visited by that black entity.

I have not seen this entity again and my fiancé and I broke up years ago.

To this day when I think about that figure it haunts me. I am intrigued about what it was, what it wanted with me, and where it came from. Could it have been there to warn me about my upcoming surgery? What connection was there with my fiancé? It was sitting on top of him. The weird part is that this black hooded figure seems to appear to others as I have discovered by reading different accounts. Based on this I am sure other people have experienced these types of events and just simply don’t report them.

Anyone have an insight as to what these entities could be and what they want?

Last night I was walking up the stairs in my house while home alone. I got this really scared feeling, like i wasn't alone and if I went any further something bad would happen. Usually my intuition is right, so I stopped about halfway up the stairs just in time to see a roughly 5-foot-tall man in a black cloak sweep past the doorway, about 6 inches off the ground. I ran downstairs practically crying and texted my friend, who told me that the exact same thing had happened in her room about 2 weeks ago. She said she had tried to touch it, but as soon as she started reaching for it she started getting a terrible feeling about it, and was horrified. Apparently after that it just disappeared. I haven't seen it today, but I'm alone again tonight and afraid of what might happen.

Back around 1996, I had spent the night at my girlfriends. That night I had what I thought was a dream...the most realistic dream I have ever had. I get goosebumps thinking of it. I was on my side with my eyes opened. In front of me, my girlfriend had a standing mirror. I looked at the mirror and this black figure came out of it. Truth be told, I do not know if it was wearing robes but it seemed very ...flowing, like curtains in a light breeze. I became paralyzed as it hovered directly over me. I tried to scream, move, anything but nothing happened until I woke up. When I did "wake up" I was in the exact same position I was when I was paralyzed by this figure, on my side, facing that mirror. Coming from a small Texas town, I told the guys at the factory I worked at about it and one of the more superstitious of the bunch said it was a witches curse. He seemed dead serious about that too. I really don't know what it was but just writing it down and thinking of it again gives me the creeps....in a really bad way.

I have had sleep paralysis since I was 13 years old. I'm 28 now and I have bouts of it alot..but they are not as severe now as they use to be. For anyone who doesnt know the experience, its happens where it seem you are in between a state of sleep and a state of awakeness. Your body freezes and you cannot move, talk, or open your eyes..but you are aware. I didnt know what this was most of my life untill I spoke with a teacher who enlightened me on what it was. Basically, whats really happening is that during a stage of REM, your motor system shuts down. When you have a bout of sleep paralysis, when you awake, your motor system does not automatically turn back on. So you are stuck in this state between being awake and aware and being held down now able to move while still in a dream state. So hallucinations can occur.

At first it was a very frightening experience...you have this extremely heightened sense of awareness. Sounds are crisper, louder. Sometimes breathing is difficult. But along with this comes this DEEP sense of fear...that something is in the room and going to get you. You can sense someone actually about to do something to you. Its especially frightening because you try to move or open your eyes, but cant. I always get out of the paralysis fine without being murdered or anything, but its scary.

I have never seen a cloaked figure, but when I was younger I hallucinated a being sitting on top of my chest...keeping me from breathing. I could make out the outline, and it looked to be a troll or a goblin of some kind. I told this to the psychologist I was seeing, but she thought it was crazy.

I still get sleep paralysis, but I welcome it now...it can be a moment of pure relaxation, and I've learned how to lucid dream.
